President Tinubu Suspends EFCC Chairman, Bawa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa.

This is according to a letter signed by Director of Information, Willie Bassey, on June 14, 2023.

Bawa was suspended from office to allow proper investigation into his conduct while in office.

Mr Bawa was directed to immediately hand over the affairs of the office to the Director, Operations in the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigation.
