Release Nnamdi Kanu— Enugu Governor Tells Tinubu

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
The governor of Enugu state, Peter Mbah, has called the attention of the newly elected president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
Mbah averred that he had banned the Sit-at-home in the state and urged President Tinubu to release Kanu from detention.
The governor asserted this on Thursday, May 1, while discussing with newsmen on his first security meeting with chiefs of security operatives at the Government House, Enugu. Mbah maintained that the sit-at-home in the South East in protest of the detention of Nnamdi Kanu had caused damages to the state economy.
He averred that the time had come for the indigenes to decide if they want to move forward or remain stuck with the underdeveloped conditions.
