Residents of the Agbarho community in Delta State have expressed serious concerns over the rising insecurity in their community.
It was gathered that the once peaceful town had turned a surge in criminal activities, including armed robbery, kidnappings and violent assaults.
Local leaders and community members who spoke with newsmen have called on the government and security agencies to take immediate action to restore safety and order.
“Our town has become a hotspot for criminals, and we live in constant fear. We need urgent intervention to protect our lives and property,” said by a prominent indigene of the community.
However, despite increased police presence, residents report that crime rates continue to climb, with many fearing to go out late in the night.
Meantime, schools, businesses, and places of worship have also been affected, disrupting daily life and economic activities in the community.
