Scores killed as power transmission tower collapses in market

Several persons are feared killed as High-Voltage Tower Collapsed in busy market in the outskirts of Congo.

A video twitted from the scene of the busy market in Matadi Kibala, Congo, showed an horrible scene where crowds of persons found walking on dead bodies on Wednesday, Feb 2, 2022.

The video also showed people screaming as they walked through the flooded market streets.

According to a Twitter user who shared the video: “An excerpt from the situation in the Matadi Kibala district.

“It is a high voltage pillonne that fell on the Matadi Kibala market this morning. Witnesses evoke more than 30 deaths.”

However, some of the bodies were placed on each other while others spread abroad on the ground.
