SDG’s Supports 7500 Vulnerable Youths in Zamfara

Governor Lawal reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to Youths empowerment and the general well-being of the people in the state.

Governor Lawal stated this at the flagged off ceremony of the distribution of capital to seven thousand five hundred poor and vulnerable Youths held at Tsafe Local Government Secretariat.

The Governor represented by the Commissioner of Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Kasimu Sani Kaura, said, the present administration is committed to the implemention of programmes and policies aimed at improving the life standards of the populace.

“We will continue to implement policies and programs that will boost people income at the grassroots levels and ensure that they have self determination and are focused for a better future. Gov. Dauda said

In his presentation, The state Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals, Dr. Aliyu Adamu Barmo assured for many more SDG’s – aligned programmes in due course.

“This is just the beginning and is part of the Sustainable Development Goals initiative. We have many SDG’s Programs aimed at improving welfare and comfortability in businesses of petty traders and also empowered those that are yet to queue in. Dr. Aliyu said.

The pilot program started with five hundred beneficiaries drawn from across the eleven wards of Tsafe Local Government Area which comprises poultry farming, carpentry, barbering, grinding machine, food vending, provisions trading and tailoring, butchers among others and each of them received respective materials related to their profession with N 100,000 each as start up capital.
