The Zamfara State APC chairman Alhaji Tukur Danfulani described former chairman Senate Committee on downstream Sen. Kabiru Marafa as ineffective and has no value in Zamfara politics talk less of outside the state.

The state party chairman Tukur Danfulani described Sen. Kabiru Marafa as a toothless bulldog that is struggling for recognition.

The party responded as a result of an interview granted by Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa threatening to reduce one million votes tally from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu votes which he claimed to secure to win the 2023 presidential election in the northwest.

“Apart from being disgraced from the Senate by his constituents in 2019 that he has not recovered from his dementia. Even in the 2023 polls where he made uncorroborated calls on the 2023 elections, it should be noted that Marafa could not even win his constituency in the same elections talkless of securing votes for President Tinubu.

“Zamfara votes largely came through the faith that electorates have in the party and Matawalle, Yari and other respected party leaders in the state. Danfulani said.

“The current Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle served as the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaigns Council for the whole of northwest and initially to double as the Zamfara State coordinator but seeing that the work would be overwhelming, suggested the Zamfara coordination on Marafa which was reluctantly approved because he did not merit it.

“Many of his allies discovered his selfish motives which triggered for not being given position in Tinubu’s administration and joined the winning team. Danfulani lamented.

The party chairman attributed the success recorded in just concluded Kaura Namoda South State House of Assembly bye election with a wide margin against the runner up (PDP) without any input from Sen. Marafa to the impact and loyalty of electorates to political gladiators like Bello Matawalle, Senator Yari, Yerima and many others.

A statement by the party publicity Secretary Malan Yusuf Idris Gusau accused Sen. Mafara for sabotaging the party efforts against his selfish interests.

“Sen. Marafa tried to sabotage APC’s chances of winning through anti-party maneuvers which didn’t work.

“It’s laughable for Sen. Marafa who couldn’t even win his political ward of Yandoton daji talk less of his local government of Tsafe or his central constituency, could boast of reducing one million votes out of President Bola Ahmed’s votes of 2023 victory in the next election 2027. The statement read.

“The people of Zamfara know that he’s just a lame dog that can only bark without any tooth to bite. The statement said.

The party dared Sen. Marafa to come to Zamfara State and reassess his popularity among the electorate of which they believe he will bury himself in shame.

“Unguarded utterances are just out of frustration of loosing election and his inability to secure appointments in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. Idris said.

The party vowed not to allow anybody to touch President Tinubu in an uncivilised manner.
