The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Bernard Doro as a minister following his nomination by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, marking another addition to the president’s expanding cabinet.

Doro, a native of Plateau State, holds degrees in pharmacy, law, and business strategy, making him one of the most academically diverse nominees in the current administration. His confirmation followed a screening session where lawmakers commended his professional record and contributions to both the public and private sectors.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who presided over the plenary, described Doro as a technocrat whose experience would add value to governance, especially in areas of health policy and economic reform.

Although the specific ministry he will oversee has not yet been announced, insiders suggest that he may be assigned to a portfolio linked to either health or industrial development, given his background and expertise.

President Tinubu has continued to emphasize competence and national representation in his appointments, assuring Nigerians that his team will drive reforms aimed at economic recovery and improved public service delivery.
