Senator Ned Nwoko Accuses Regina Daniels of Substance Abuse Amid Ongoing Marital Crisis

Tension continues to mount in the household of Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, as he publicly accused his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, of drug and alcohol abuse.

In a statement released through his media aide, Senator Nwoko alleged that the actress has been battling serious issues with substance abuse, claiming her behavior had recently turned “violent and unpredictable.” He further disclosed that he had advised her to seek medical help and enter rehabilitation, either in Abuja or overseas, to address her condition.

The accusations come just days after Regina Daniels took to social media to accuse her husband of physical abuse and emotional neglect. Her allegations sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians calling for an investigation into the matter.

However, Senator Nwoko insisted that his wife’s claims were an attempt to divert public attention from her personal struggles. He maintained that he had done everything possible to support her recovery and to protect their family’s image.

The couple, whose marriage in 2019 drew national attention due to their significant age difference, has two children together. As of the time of filing this report, Regina Daniels has not publicly responded to the senator’s latest claims.
