Six PDP Zamfara Assembly members Switched to APC

The Six Lawmakers who spoke through their separate letters presented by the factional Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Gummi and one of the Decampees on the floor of the House at it late evening sitting held in Gusau, the state capital said their defection emanated from gross exhibition of abuse of office on the part of the executive, under Governor Dauda lawal and the crisis in their former political party (PDP) at the national level causing uncertainty in the survival of the party in the country’s political arena.

A statement by the state party publicity Secretary Malan Yusuf Idris Gusau, said, The Lawmakers further complained about the high handedness of the leadership of the legislature under former speaker.

The Lawmakers accused the Speaker of the state’s House of Assembly of serious serial violation of the Nigerian 1999 constitution as amended in the discharge of his assigned responsibilities by only dancing to the uncultured tunes and directives of the state governor Dauda Lawal.

Those dump PDP for APC include the factional Zamfara State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Bashar Aliyu Gummi representing Gummi 1 Constituency, Hon. Amiru Ahmad Keta member representing Tsafe West, Hon. Muktar Nasir (Jikan Shehu), Member representing Kaura North, Hon. Nasiru Abdullahi Maru, member representing Maru North, Basiru Bello (Sarkin Zango), member representing Bungudu West and Barr Bashir Abubakar Masama Bukkuyum, member representing Bukkuyum North.
