Six Suspected Kidnappers Arrested, Shot Dead In Rivers

Six alleged kidnappers has been shot dead by the men of Nigeria police, Rivers State Police Command during a raid on their hideout near the Emohua axis of the state’s East-West Road.
Nwonyi Emeka, the state’s commissioner of police, explained the operation that took place on Wednesday resulted in the arrest of six additional suspects who were allegedly members of the kidnapping syndicate while speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday.
Emeka stated that the anti-cult and tactical teams comprised of his men were instrumental in the operation’s success.
The arrest of one Baridara Barodam aka Ojukwu from Boku, Gokhana LGA, by the Anti-cultism team in the Bori Annex was among the most recent successes in the crackdown on suspected criminals that he revealed. They had the suspect listed as wanted.
Among the items seized from the numerous arrests and crime scenes at Hospital Road, Bonny LGA, Boku, Bori, Khana, illegal gun sales outlets in Obio Akpor, and a foiled kidnapping scene in GRA Port Harcourt are locally made weapons, cut-to-size firearms, a skull, cartridges, hard drugs thought to be “ice” (crystal methamphetamine), as well as army camouflage.

Dr. Thomas Bariere, DSSRS, Khana council boss, has praised men of the Nigeria Police Force Bori Division, Taabaa Division, Anti-Cultism Unit Bori, and C4I Khana LGA for yet another successful operation.
He noted that the constitution places the protection of lives and property within the purview of the government, but that success in this task of ensuring community safety requires the collaboration of all stakeholders. He warned criminals to avoid the Khana Local Government Area or face the full wrath of the law.
Thomas stated that his administration will not back down in its fight against insecurity in Khana because he swore an oath to protect the lives and property of all Khana residents.
