Speaker Abbas Tajudeen Empathises with Victims of Jos Attack, Calls for Decisive Action Against Terrorism

‎Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen has called for decisive action by the Federal Government and the security forces to clampdown on terrorism and all forms of criminality, stating that Nigeria cannot leave its citizens at the mercy of criminals and non-state actors.

‎Speaker Abbas stated this while sympathizing with the people of Angwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, describing the attack on them by suspected terrorists as gruesome and heinous.

‎The Speaker notes that protection of life and property is the primary responsibility of the government and advocates better collaboration, especially between the federal and sub-national governments, the government, and the people, as well as inter-agency cooperation.
