Stop attacking Ogbe-Ijoh community, let’s live as one – Ogbe-Ijoh youth leader tells Aladja youths

Ogbe- Ijoh youth leader and director of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom own security outfit, the Coastal Watch and Sea pirate fighters, General Poweide Edongha has warned that Ogbe-Ijoh resolve for peace shouldn’t be taken for granted by the youths of Aladja community, adding that they decided to choose peace because it will benefit both communities more.

This was contained in a press statement signed by General Poweide himself which a copy of it was sent to Congress newspaper on Tuesday.

The youth leader lamented that the peace of Ogbe-Ijoh community, being the headquarters of Warri South West LGA has been taken for granted by Delta state government and relevant security agencies.

The anti-pirate leader narrated: “the charlant attitude of security agencies has attracted series of unprovoked attacks against us despite accepting the conditional peace.

“The only access road has been blocked by Aladja community, no building material is allowed to pass, buildings and other valuable things have been destroyed and burnt down but as people of peace, we still maintain the peace, law and order”, the youth leader stressed.

“Despite our peaceful dispositions, Aladja youths should stop attacking the peace loving people of Ogbe-Ijoh community unnecessarily and desist from misforming the public with dozens of lies for cover-up because despite peaceful a community is, it will not allow its neighbours to be attacking them without retaliation”, he added.
