Super Eagles Striker, Awoniyi Builds Dressing Room For Former Club in Kwara

Super Eagles Striker, Taiwo Adeniyi has built a football dressing room for UNICORN, his former football Academy at Sheikh Abdulkadir College, Ilorin, Kwara state.

Adeniyi who’s a Nottingham striker financed the building of toilets, offices and pavilion at the school he once attended.

The 25-year-old footballer also flagged off Never Stop Dreaming Cup 2023, a football tournament for academics across the state which consists of 26 teams. It was reported that the winner of the tournament will get a whopping sum of N1 million while the runners-up get N700,000 d third place get a sum of N500,000.

No fewer than 500 players are expected to participate in the tournament with prizes for outstanding performers at the end

Recall, during the 2013 U-17 World Cup, Awoniyi was among the Golden Eaglets that won in the United Arab Emirates.

Liverpool signed him in 2015 but couldn’t get hold of first-term football. He was however loaned into FSV, Frankfurt, NEC, Mouscron, Gent and Mainz 05.

During the 2020/2021 season, he joined Nottingham on loan

Awoniyi has scored six goals for the English club in a season after a lengthy injury layoff
