President Bola Tinubu has urged traditional rulers and their representatives from across the country to support his administration.

Mr President was speaking at an interactive session during a courtesy visit by the Royal Fathers under the aegis of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN), at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja on Friday, June 9, said his administration is an open door policy.

‘‘That open-door policy is for you to call me and send to me at any given time any concern that you might have,” Tinubu stated.

‘‘We may not have it right 100 per cent of the time but we must get it right 90 per cent of the time for this country,’’ he added

The meeting with the monarchs is part of a series of engagements the president is having with key stakeholders in the country since he assumed office on May 29.

In a tweet after the meeting, the president noted that he enjoyed his discussion with the traditional rulers while noting that he enjoined them to support him, as he steers the country to a better future.

He tweeted, “I enjoyed my engagement, this morning, with a gathering of traditional rulers from across the country.

“In the course of our dialogue, I tasked them with supporting the administration’s efforts to ensure lasting peace and unity by promoting responsible behaviour and patriotism.”
