It is now a survival of the fittest among the Nigerian political elite as they are currently hustling for ministerial appointments in the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recall, during a meeting with the All Progressives Congress, APC, members and senators, President Bola Tinubu had earlier promised that those who lost the election in their various states would not be left out in his administration.

Despite the president’s assurance, some influential personality in the ruling party has continued to lobby for ministerial appointment.

Due to defeat in the party’s governorship election in Delta state, Festus Keyamo, former minister of Labour and Employment, who was considered for ministerial appointment if Ovie Omo-Agege wins the election has also lost the appointment due to defeat by the opposition party.

Similarly in Osun state, the former state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, who lost re-election to Ademola Adeleke, may also be considered for a ministerial appointment.

This is according to the party’s Spokesperson, Kola Olabisi.

He maintained that the Federal appointment would be announced at the appropriate time.

Moreso, in Ondo state, it was gathered that those who contributed to the presidential election victory would be considered for appointment.

It was alleged that individuals vying for appointment positions from Ondo include, Issac Kekemeke, Alex Ajipe, and Ademola Adegoroye.

In Sokoto state, it was suggested that Senator Ibrahim Gobir may be considered for a position.
