The Society for the Welfare of Unemployed Youths of Nigeria (SWUYN) is set to commemorate its 10th anniversary with a three-day national event, themed “From Unemployment to Employment”, from March 10th to 12th, 2026.

The event aimed to shift the narrative on youth unemployment in Nigeria, with a focus on policy reform, empowerment, and sustainable solutions. Day one will feature a policy dialogue on rethinking youth employment architecture, with high-level sessions on economic stability, entrepreneurship, and skills development.

Day two will focus on equipping youths with actionable knowledge and enterprise pathways, through masterclasses, workshops, and mentorship engagements. The grand finale on day three will include a national advocacy rally, launch of the SWUYN Legacy Project, 10th anniversary lecture and Awards.

SWUYN National President, Comr. Preye V. Tambou, emphasised that the event is a call to action, urging government and private sector stakeholders to partner in building a structured pathway from unemployment to employment.

The event promised to be a game-changer for Nigeria’s youth, with opportunities for networking, skills acquisition, and access to funding.
