The Ogbe-Ijoh community unit of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has expressed dissatisfaction over attempts to undermine them by some individuals in the kingdom.

In the statement by General Powoide Ikoro, who spoke on behalf of the Ogbe-Ijoh unit, faulted the leadership of the kingdom for excluding them for the recent press conference against the Surveillance Contract Decentralisation Calls by aggrieved ex-agitators.

According to the unit leadership, in as much it condemned the call for decentralisation, the move to undermine them and marginalise them by respected individuals is an act of failed leadership in the kingdom.

While expressing their disappointment, they warned that any Tantita activities carried out in the Ogbe-Ijoh community without informing and involving them properly will be resisted with all alacrity.

Ikoro, expressed frustration over alleged marginalization by some individuals, stating that security is a collective responsibility and shouldn’t be used to pit community members against each other. He emphasised the unit’s commitment to peace, being residents of Warri South West LGA headquarters, but warned against infringing on their civil and traditional rights.

The unit is calling on Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited’s Chairman, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, and Managing Director, Chief Keston Pondi to call such individuals to order and give proper reorganization to the Ogbe-Ijoh unit to prevent power abuse. The community unit’s leadership asserts that Tantita Security Services has come to stay, and efforts to undermine their operations will be met with resistance.

The statement reads, “My attention was drawn to the recent press conference held by the leadership of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom at the Ogbe-Ijoh community Hall precisely on Monday 6, 2026 against the decentralization demand of some individuals in the Niger Delta which all of us are condemning it in totality. But to my highest surprise the Ogbe-Ijoh Tantita’s unit was not invited but completely sidelined in such an important gathering.

“We are not against the press conference because the initiative was a laudable one, but what we are totally against is the exclusion and the marginalization meted on the Ogbe-Ijoh unit being the fact that we are resident of the Headquarters of Warri South West LGA”, they added.
