Tension heightens over Ndiomu’s threat to deal with ex-agitators at loggerhead with him

By Peters Monday, Abuja
Tension is heightened in Niger Delta over the recent threat by the Interim Administrator of the presidential amnesty programme, Barry Ndiomu to deal with ex-agitators who are at loggerheads with him over multiple BVN sagas.
Ndiomu on Monday shortly after a meeting with the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu, threatened that Ex-agitators duly captured as PAP beneficiaries who are taking part in spreading false narratives, would be dealt with by the extant laws of the Programme.
In a statement by a renowned Niger Delta Stakeholders Forum, NDSF, president, Mr Selemo Don condemned the threat by Ndiomu to punish ex-agitators at loggerhead with him.
He said the threat could incite unrest in the region as stakeholders such as High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, Dokubo Asari and other notable warlords would not seat and watch Ndiomu’s rascality.
Don advised President Tinubu and NSA, Nuhu Ribadu not to reappoint Barry Ndiomu for the interest of sustainable peace in the Niger Delta region. He stressed that Ndiomu should be held responsible for any breakdown of law and others in the Niger Delta region, adding that Niger Delta oil facilities might be endangered if Ndiomu is reappointed.
