The Crumbs Crushed by Kestin, By Enewaridideke Ekanpou

From Oyangbene I saw the crowd….
The crowd creeping and crying for crumbs to see another waiting day.
Away from the creeping and crying crowd the crumbs canter like a horse, the crumbs yet enveloped by clouds.
The clouds became the pain of the crowd crying for crumbs
The crying crowd too cramped to defy the clouds and claim the crumbs.
Like the tired sun homeward after toiling in the day, the crumbs inch away.
From nowhere came Kestin, pouncing on the crumbs and clouds like Pondi, furious like the flood of 2012.
The clouds and the crumbs came crushed, revealing only gold and diamond for the creeping and crying crowd .
Kestin deposited gold and diamond and fled to Gbaramatu Kingdom like Tompolo’s flight to the city of freedom.
With no response to the deafening decibels of hailings from the hitherto creeping and crying crowd, Kestin fled to Gbaramatu Kingdom.

Ekanpou writes from Akparemogbene, Delta State .
