When an institution. The erosion of trust and legitimacy is a natural consequence of such actions. Institutions are established to serve the greater good, uphold the law, and protect the rights of citizens. However, when they engage in deceitful and unlawful behaviour, it undermines the very fabric of society.

The effects of a lawless institution can be far-reaching and devastating. Citizens may lose faith in the system, leading to widespread disillusionment and social unrest. The rule of law, which is essential for a functioning society, is compromised, and the institution’s actions can have a corrosive impact on the entire justice system.

Ultimately, institutions must be held accountable for their actions. When they represent lies and lawlessness, it is essential to speak truth to power and demand justice. By doing so, we can work towards creating a society where institutions serve the people, uphold the law, and promote the common good.

Prof. Benjamin Binebai, writes from Niger Delta University Bayelsa State.
