Tinubu Arrives in Paris for Global Finance Pact Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Paris, France on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, ahead of the Global Financing Pact Summit convened by President Emmanuel Macron.

He was received at the airport by Ambassador Kayode Laro, Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, and other top government officials from the Nigerian Embassy and French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Global Financing Pact Summit is a two-day event that will bring together leaders from around the world to discuss how to increase financing for development.

Tinubu is expected to participate in the summit and meet with other leaders to discuss Nigeria’s priorities.

This is Tinubu’s first official trip abroad since he was sworn in as President of Nigeria on May 29, 2023.

The summit is an opportunity for Tinubu to showcase Nigeria’s commitment to development and to build relationships with other world leaders.
