Troop Raid Katsina Terrorists’ Camp, Kill Five, Arrest One

Not less than five terrorist members were killed and one apprehended in joint military operations involving Police, Vigilantes and hunters in Katsina state on Saturday, June 17.

According to the command spokesperson, ASP Sadiq Abubakar, said the terrorist members were killed based on an intelligence report.

The combined team raided many terrorists’ hideouts in Batsari and Jibia Local Government Areas of the state, and five were killed, while one was arrested.

Part of the terrorists’ hideout invaded by the security operatives was in Marake, Garin, Yara, and Garin Labo Villages in Batsari Local Government Area.

The state police spokesperson also stated that over 35 cows, 40 sheep and 65 goats were recovered during the operation.

However, he maintained that the operatives are still on the lookout for the terrorists for possible arrests of other members.
