Troops Eliminate Terrorists, Recover Weapons in Kadam Forest, Sokoto

Troops of the Chief of Army Staff Special Intervention Battalion 7 in conjunction with 8 Division Strike Team, operating under the Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have eliminated many terrorists affiliated to Lakurawa at Kadam Forest, Sokoto state.

A statement by the acting director, Army Public Relations 8 Division, Sector 2 Operation Fansan Yamma, Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, indicates that the operation followed credible intelligence indicating over 100 terrorists had converged in Kadam Forest to plan attacks and kidnappings on local communities.

The Troops then mobilised and attacked the terrorists’ positions, eliminated many of the criminals and recovered weapons.
