Twist As DSS Confirms CBN Governor’s Arrest

The Department of State Services (DSS) has finally confirmed the arrest of the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Mr Godwin Emefiele following his suspension and sack.

The Public Relations Officer, Department of State Services, Peter Afunanya, in a statement, cautioned the public, particularly the media, to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning issues of critical importance.

Congress News had earlier reported the arrest of the CBN governor following his suspension sequel to the ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume.
