Use Ramadan to promote unity, cohesion_ PDP Nat’l Chair urges Muslims

The Acting National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ambassador, Iliya Umar Damagum has called on Muslims to use fasting period for promoting political cohesion and unity among Nigerians.

 

Damagun made the call on Saturday in his Ramadan message to mark the commencement of 2025 annual Ramadan fasting observed by Muslims faithfuls.

 

In the statement made available to newsmen by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Malam Yusuf Dingyadi, the Acting National Chairman urged Muslims to dedicate themselves on supplications for the improvement of peace and nation’s development.

 

He stressed that Nigeria needs political stability and unity while the country faces with security and developmental challenges which are becoming source of concern to our survival as a nation.

 

The National Chairman urged wealthy Nigerians to extend their hands of charity and affection far beyond immediate families to other needles.

 

He further enjoined people to emulate the lifestyle of noble Prophet Muhammed (SAW) as he taught us the immense benefits of being generous, especially during the month of Ramadan.
