Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo Presides Over FEC Emergency Meeting

An emergency Federal Executive Council ( FEC ) meeting held on Monday 15 May, was presided by Vice President, Yemi Osinbanjo at the state house in Abuja.
The meeting came up just two weeks before the end of 8 years of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to the report, the emergency meeting holds to deliberate on over 30 memos from different ministries and agencies of government to treat a backlog of pending memos.
This development is in preparation to wrap up the administration this week ahead of the May 29 inauguration and handover.
In the absence of the Executive president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, who went to London for medical, the vice President, Yemi Osinbanjo chaired the meeting.
Also in attendance are, National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd), Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
Others include Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of
Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umar; Minister of
Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed; amongst others.
However, President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to get back to the country on Tuesday, May 16.
