Wamban shinkafi democratic front tackle Zamfara APC

The Zamfara State All Progressive Congress (APC), supporters of Wamban shinkafi democratic front chairman Hon. Yushau Abdullahi Mada has cautioned the state party leadership against possible personality attacks on party elders.

Hon. Yushau also said the party has developed attitudes of favored and unfavored policy among its members in the state.

Speaking with newsmen in Gusau on Saturday, the Wamban shinkafi democratic front chairman explained how Dr Sani Abdullahi shinkafi massively supported the progress of APC and development of the State.

“We have come across a write-up filled with fiction, lies, slander, and direct insults to its political leader Dr.Sani shinkafi, all in an attempt to please the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle and to portray to the public that there are “favored” and “unfavored” members within the APC in the State. Yusha’u said.

“Let us remind you that an APC stalwart, Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, was at home preparing for his gubernatorial campaign under the platform of APGA in 2019 when Bello Matawalle, together with the late Ibrahim Mallaha, Senator Sahabi Yau, Hon. Kabiru Amadu Mai Palace, Deputy governor Mahdi Aliyu Gusau, Director General Mattawale and Late Jamilu Aliyu Zannan Gusau visited his residence. They sought his support to unite forces against the then-ruling government and he accepted their request. Yusha’u lamented.

Yusha’u further narrated how Dr. Sani Abdullahi challenged 2023 general elections at the election petition tribual but was asked to withdraw and sealed all the grievances for the development of the state.

“After APC was declared winner Dr. Sani Shinkafi approached the election tribunal, challenging the legality of the results on grounds of electoral irregularities but later withdrew with the intervention of elder statesman General Ali Gusau (rtd). Yusha’u said.

The chairman Wamban Democratic front was the close associate of Matawalle before issues arose.

“At the beginning of Matawalle’s administration, Shinkafi was his closest ally and Matawalle’s first 100 days achievements in office were based on the sound advice and guidance of Dr. Shinkafi.

“However, along the line, Matawalle began to deviate and run the government in the wrong direction. When Dr. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi noticed this, he advised him directly and sincerely. But rather than improve, things worsened.

“It is important to note that Wamban Shinkafi was never Matawalle’s subordinate.They were political allies who worked together for success and progress. Yusha’u said.

The Wanban Democratic Front called “loyal leaders” of APC in Zamfara State to stop taking sides, protecting one party member while insulting another.

“To you, the overzealous APC leaders: be aware that the party’s congress to restructure leadership is approaching, and it may happen that some of you will be replaced. Perhaps that’s why you are now trying to gain favor and benefit from temporary privileges.

“As for the party’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris, you should understand that your responsibility in the party is managing the organization’s public image and communication, which includes promoting its activities, issuing press releases, and maintaining a positive relationship with the media and the public.

He assured people in the state of their total support, commitment to the actualisation of Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi’s dream of safe, reliable, and free Zamfara State of all inequality, urges supporters to remain law abiding to be progressive not aggressive.
