We Are Devoted To Quality Healthcare Delivery – Gov. Fubara

Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, has stated that his administration will continue to collaborate with the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) and other health-related organizations to provide quality healthcare to Rivers residents.

He stated this When he met with members of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Rivers State Branch, at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

“We are all aware of what our predecessor did across the State, particularly the tremendous achievements in the health sector,” he said

The governor was represented by his Deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu.

He asserts that it’s a government of consolidation and continuity. He promised that they will continue to build on the solid foundation laid by the previous administration and to do so, all hands must be on deck.

The governor praised the Medical Women Association for putting Rivers State on the global map by producing the Vice President, Medical Women’s International Association Near East & African Region, one of the world body’s eight regions, and added that MWAN was one of the organizations that supported him in his bid to become State Governor.

Dr Omosivie Maduka, President of the Medical Women Association, stated in her address that their visit is to congratulate the Governor on his election victory and successful inauguration, as well as to thank him for his support for the association’s plans to host the 23rd Biennial General Meeting and Scientific Conference.

She stated that the organization is ready to work with the Rivers State Government to improve healthcare delivery in the state.
