WHO: Rubella and measles vaccination Campaign widely accepted in Zamfara

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) State Coordinator, Dr. Raji Mukhtar, supervised the ongoing Integrated Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign in Zamfara State.

Mukhtar visited vaccination sites at U/Jibrin Bala Community Clinic, Sabuwar Madidi Primary School, and Gada Biya Primary Health Centre, where health workers were administering Measles-Rubella vaccines to eligible children.

A statement by information officer of the ministry of health Suleiman Isah said, the aims of the supervision is to ensure effective coordination, quality service delivery, and full coverage of the state’s integrated immunization campaign, which also includes vaccines for human papillomavirus (HPV) and polio, as well as routine immunization and efforts to combat neglected tropical diseases.

The World Health Organization’s (WHO) State Coordinator, Dr. Raji Mukhtar also commended the vaccination teams for their dedication.
