Nigerian Rotarian, Yinka Babalola, has made history by emerging as the President-elect of Rotary International for the 2026–2027 Rotary year. His election marks a significant milestone, as he becomes the first Nigerian to attain the prestigious position in the global humanitarian service organization.

Babalola, who has held several leadership roles within Rotary, was overwhelmingly endorsed by members across the world, a testament to his years of dedication, integrity, and service. In his acceptance remarks, he expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in him and pledged to further Rotary’s mission of promoting peace, education, and community development.
