You Can Become Gov.– Umo Eno Tells Police Officers’ Children

By Sola Omoniyi, Lagos
While inspecting the government house premises, governor Umo Eno of Akwa-Ibom state came across some police officers’ children and told them something before giving them an envelope of money.
Governor Umo Eno said, “I know you are all children of Police officers living in the barracks here. Well, my father was also a policeman. Someday, when you read your book and grow, you too can become Governors, presidents, senators, lawyers, doctors – you can even become anything.”
Speaking further, the governor said, “Do not let anyone on the surface of the earth deceive you that a police officer’s child cannot become something in life.
“I want you all to share this token (hands them an envelope) among yourselves. Always remember that you will become who God has destined you to be in life. I am certain that the dedication of these children today will shape a successful future for them tomorrow. Greet your parents!” he added.
