Youth Leaders appeal to Oborevwori, Boro for consideration into waterways security

Youth leaders coalition, comprising current youth presidents from all riverine communities in Delta State have appealed to the governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and Chief Boro Oputu, the Chairman of Delta State Waterways and Land Security Committee to enlist the incumbent Presidents of the various community youth bodies across the state into the security outfit.
This is according to a statement released by the coalition during the weekend.

The youth leaders while congratulating the newly appointed Chairman of the Security Committee, Chief Boro Oputu and his board members, emphasized that the Delta Riverine Communities had played a very critical role in safeguarding oil facilities and the waterways within and outside their domains which was the reason violence, robbery, piracy, kidnapping, and other forms security issues had been successfully tamed in their respective territories.
The youths reiterated, “Therefore, involving the Youth Leaders of the various communities is very key in sustaining the peace, stability and revenue that the state currently enjoys, as all-inclusive governance can never get things wrong.
The youth leaders further called on Oputu and Oborevwori to expand the scope of the Delta Waterways and Land 5 to protect oil facilities in the state.
