YRLDF Requests Anti-Graft Agencies to Investigate YGA’s Allegations

The Youth Reformation and Leadership Development Foundation (YRLDF) has responded to recent allegations made by the Young Guardians of Accountability (YGA) against the Defence Minister, Badaru Abubakar, stating that the accusations are misguided and attempt to tarnish the Minister’s reputation.

In a statement, the national President of YRLDF Dr, Awwal Aliyu Abdullahi, emphasized that politics is a vocation, not a business profession, and that the Defence Minister has demonstrated his commitment to serving the nation. The President urged the YGA to focus on constructive investigation, starting from the grassroots, rather than making unfounded allegations.

“The statement maintained that “Engagement in Private Business Activities. The Minister’s business activities are well-established and transparent, with no new ventures undertaken while in office.

“The Minister’s directorship roles are passive, with no influence exerted on business decisions.The Minister’s involvement with BDCs is legitimate and governed by financial laws and regulations.

“The Minister’s filing of annual returns confirms his transparency and commitment to accountability.These reputable agencies have scrutinized the Minister’s activities, finding no evidence of wrongdoings.

The YRLDF national President called on the YGA to be more nationalistic, realistic, and constructive in their anti-corruption advocacy, urging them to build the nation rather than disintegrate it. The Foundation requested the anti-graft agencies to investigate the YGA’s allegations and confirm the Minister’s integrity.
