Zamfara first lady, Girl child deserves quality education, opportunity and representation as a right not privilege.

The Zamfara first Lady, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal called for continued action to open more opportunities for girls in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, politics, ICT, science and Technology as well as other fields for societal development.
“when we invest in the girl child, we invest in progress, peace and prosperity. Hurriya Dauda said.
A statement by the he First Lady press secretary, Rabi Yusuf encouraged girls across the State and beyond to take pride in who they are and believe in their ability to make positive change.
“keep up dreaming, learning, and work harder toward becoming your best selves and remember that, the world is waiting for your light to shine. The statement stated.
The Zamfara State first lady, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal who joined the global community to mark the International Day of the Girl Child 2025 reaffirming her strong commitment to promoting the quality education, empowerment and protection of the girl child in the State.
This year’s celebration themed “The Girl I’m the Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontline of Crisis.”
Hajiya Hurriya further explained that the theme reminds the world that girls are not just victims of challenges but also leaders and change makers in homes, schools, and communities.
“Even in times of conflict, poverty or hardship, girls continue to show strength, courage and leadership, proving that their voices are key to building peace and development. The first lady said.
In her advocacy message, Hurriya Dauda Lawal said, every great nation begins with empowered girls.
“Girls who are taught to believe in their worth, pursue their purposes, and lead with courage and supporting girls on the front lines of crisis means giving them access to quality education, healthcare, and leadership opportunities so they can rebuild and shape better societies. Hurriya said.
She also emphasized that a girl child deserves quality education, opportunity and representation, not as a privilege but as a right.
The first lady expressed optimism that girl voice will be heard and her dreams will be supported.
