Zamfara first lady: immunization vaccines remain one of the greatest gifts mother’s offer to their children

The Zamfara State first lady Hajiya Hurriya Dauda Lawal said, vaccines remain one of the greatest gifts mother’s offer to their children.

The first lady flagg off campaign of the state level advocacy on routine immunization and Primary Healthcare (PHC) Strengthening held at Dr. Karima PHC Tudun Wada Gusau.

“We know the long nights, the fear, the prayers and the pain. We also know the relief that comes when our children grow strong, active and full of life. That is why we are here,to remind ourselves that prevention is better than cure. Hurriya said.

Hurriya said, Immunisation is more than a health intervention. It is an expression of love, a shield of protection and as well an act of faith. “I love you and I am safeguarding your future.” the first lady said.

He also said, hope of every family begins with good health without which the future becomes uncertain.

‘Every vaccine from birth until full protection is essential.

According to her Zamfara state have witnessed progress in community acceptance on immunization but more must be done to achieve complete success.

The campaign launched wives of all the local governments chairmen as Mama Ambassadors as part of the mission.

“Our Mama Ambassadors, will take this message into the heart of every community. They will remind other mothers to bring their children for immunisation, to attend antenatal care and to keep regular contact with the health centres.

“The vaccines offered at the health centre are safe. They have been used in Nigeria and around the world for many years. They protect children from life-threatening illnesses such as measles, polio, diphtheria and tetanus. The first lady said. He added that

“Do not allow rumours or fear to stand between your child and protection. When one child is unvaccinated, others around them face danger too. Let us work together to ensure that no child in Zamfara State is left behind.

Hajiya Hurriya said traditional leaders, religious leaders are very influential and powerful in their people for trust your guidance.

She urged them to continue to remind their communities that vaccines are gifts from Allah, delivered through knowledge and science to preserve life.

“As we decorate our Mama Ambassadors today, we are not merely placing sashes on them. We are assigning them a mission,a sacred obligation to protect life and to spread truth. They will serve as the hands, the voices and the hearts of this campaign.

The state Executive Secretary Primary Healthcare Board Husseini Anka said, the intervention of the first lady in driving this campaign coupled with the engagement of the wives of all local governments chairmen as ambassadors the narrative will definitely change.

Dr. Husseini also said, campaign alone will not achieve the target but there is the needs of sustainability on routine immunization which is very vital, therefore the leadership of the first lady will ensure the success of the vaccination at all levels in the community.

The Director Gender of the Governor’s wives Forum, Hajiya Hauwa Halliru said.

“We are here for one important reason the health of our children. Immunisation is not just the government’s job; it’s everyone’s responsibility – parents, leaders, and communities. The Director Gender said.

“mothers are taking Zamfara has made great progress children for vaccination, and health workers are doing excellent work. I also commend the Mama Ambassadors initiative, where women leaders encourage care givers to vaccinate their children

The Director Gender further emphasize that, immunisation is safe, free, and a sign of love for your child.

She also called on fathers and leaders to keep supporting this cause.

“The Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum will continue to back Zamfara and other states to strengthen primary health care and ensure no child is left behind.
