Zamfara first lady welcomes APC Females decampees to PDP as Chairman empower women

The wife of Zamfara State Governor, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has commended the Executive Chairman of Gusau Local Government Council, Hon. Abubakar Imam, for his remarkable empowerment initiative and warmly welcomed new women decampees who joined the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in recognition of the visible developmental strides of Governor Lawal’s administration.

The First Lady gave the commendation during the commissioning of empowerment initiative of Gusau Local Government chairman at the Secretariat complex.

A statement by the first lady press secretary Rabi Yusuf said, the first lady described the initiative as a laudable effort that supports families, promotes self-reliance, and alleviate hardship.

The First Lady also received women decampees from various APC political groups, noting that they had made a wise and timely decision by joining the ruling PDP.

“Your decision to join this great family under the innovative leadership of His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, clearly reflects your confidence in the ongoing transformation across the State,” Hurriya said.

The Governor’s wife further assured the new members of inclusion and equal opportunity, urging them to actively support the administration’s agenda for peace, empowerment, and development.

Hurriya also congratulated the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme and encouraged them to make good use of the items provided to improve their livelihoods and as well contribute to the growth of their communities.

The items distributed to the women include cars, motorcycles, tailoring machines, grinding machines, wheelchairs, foodstuffs, and cash across the local government area.
