10th NASS: Akpabio emerges as senate president

The 10th national assembly, members of senators elect have elected senator God’swill Akpabio as senate president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

The announcement was made by the clark of the house who presided over the electoral process.

The contest for the Senate president was between Senator God’swill Akpabio and Senator Yari Abdulaziz Yari.

The total number of elected senators are 104. Yari secured 46 votes, while Akpabio won with 63 Votes.
