2023: APC’ll win the presidency, grab Delta from PDP – Ayiri

Chief Ayiri Emami, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has boasted that the ruling party will win the 2023 presidential poll for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and would also grab power from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State in the next year’s general election.

He gave the assurance yesterday when he received Elder God’sday Orubebe, the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and Director General of Ovie Omo-Agege gubernatorial campaign committee at his Ubeji residence.

The Itsekiri chief stated emphatically that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ovie Omo-Agege’s anticipated victories in the 2023 elections would be a collective project which would be executed with all efforts by their teeming supporters in the state.

The APC chieftain, however, stressed the need for unity of purpose amongst all the ethnic nationalities in the state to ensure the victories of Tinubu and Omo-Agege come 2023, adding that the presidential candidate is an inlaw of Delta State while Omo-Agege had united the party in the state more than ever before.

Emami promised to work with Elder Orubebe in achieving the target goals by making available his teeming supporters to serve in any capacity to ensure that the party wins the 2023 elections.

Another Chieftain of the party and associate of Chief Emami, Prince Yemi Emiko, while eulogizing Elder Orubebe’s political wizardry, said it was not a coincidence that he was made the Director General of Ovie Omo-Agege gubernatorial campaign committee, having held political positions at the state and national levels in the past.

He commended Ovie Omo-Agege for the unity that now prevails in APC in the state, noting: “Ovie Omo-Agege is a leader. He has been able to put the party structure in the state intact without the usual wranglings that bedevilled party in the past.”

Elder Orubebe, while appreciating the leadership qualities of Chief Emami, said he had to pay him the visit knowing that he had been a consistent member and leader of APC since he joined the party.

He solicited more support and collaboration to ensure that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ovie Omo-Agege emerged during the 2023 elections.

“It is our project, we will do everything to ensure that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ovie Omo-Agege, as well as other candidates of the party, win their elections in the state next year,” he maintained.
