2023 Bayelsa Guber Poll: Youth leader, Ndoni advises Sylva to focus on APC victory

A youth leader in Bayelsa state, Comrade Timipre Ndoni has called on the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to be extra focused on his victory at the November 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.

This is according to a statement which he signed and a copy was sent to a Congress news correspondent on Thursday.

Ndoni who doubled as a rights activist threw his weight behind Chief Sylva Timipre, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Bayelsa state, adding that Bayelsans should consider Sylvia and give him their massive support at the guber election.

The statement reads, “Excellency sir, I write this to urge you to be more focused on how APC lost the past elections to PDP in 2015 and 2019, and to plan toward how the party and you will win the forthcoming governorship election in the state. Bayelsa APC deserves to achieve this huge goal; it is you and the people of APC Bayelsa State to critically plan on overcoming every perceived challenge before the election.

“The ruling party (PDP) of Bayelsa State continues to claim that, Sylva/ Maciver is a work-over. Why they are saying this is because they feel, you (Sylva) are not serious and will never be serious about taking over power. It is high time you delete wrong conceptions by making all your best efforts to succeed in the battle ahead.

“Remember, for an army to be successful in a battle, it has to wear its thinking cap, and might have strategised critically towards achieving such a dream.

“This is very critical. This is not the first time you’re contesting. You have been contesting since after your first reign as a governor in the state but I believe, this is your time to fight to achieve power in Bayelsa State.

“So, it is my candid advice and suggestion that you should draw programmes to accommodate youths and strengthen Bayelsa Grassroots Political Support Groups to canvass more support for you, such as BAYELSA WEST UNITY FORUM, NEW GENERATION LEADERS OF BAYELSA STATE, KEKE UNION and others too numerous to mention.

“However, I urge Timipre Sylva, the APC Governorship Candidate and his running mate Great Joshua Maciver to consider my suggestion as an option to progress the moving train for greatness,” he added.
