•As Amori, Ibori-Suenu, Akpowowo Task Party Members On Unit-to-Unit Campaign

The Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and the State Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, for the 2023 general election, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, has said that he is a unifier and pan-Deltan that will do more and listen more to the people when elected in 2023.

Also, Chief Ighoyota Amori, PDP Senatorial Candidate, Delta Central District, Hon. Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, PDP House of Representatives Candidate, Ethiope East/Ethiope West Federal Constituency and Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, PDP Delta State House of Assembly Candidate, Ethiope East Constituency, tasked members of the party in Ethiope East Local Government to embark on unit-to-unit campaign for total victory for the party.

The candidates, who made this known during the Delta State Campaign Council ward-to-ward campaigns to Ethiope East Local Government Area Ward 10, Samagidi, Ward 6, Kokori, Ward 11, Isiokolo, Ward 7, Orhoakpor and Ward 4 Okpara Inland, said that they were in the wards to solicit for their votes and on need assessment.

Speaking during the campaign visit to the five wards, Rt. Hon. Oborevwori who is also the National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, said it was the first time a governorship candidate was campaigning to all the 270 wards in Delta State.

He noted that it was only the PDP that can reset Nigeria, and urged the people to vote Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as President and Vice-President respectively; I and Sir Monday Onyeme as Governor and Deputy Governor respectively; Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Hon. Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, PDP House of Representatives Candidate, and Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo for Delta State House of Assembly, Ethiope East Constituency.

According to him; “Please vote for Atiku- Okowa. In this country, there is poverty in the land, insecurity, bad roads like this Eku/ Agbor road. All our Federal roads are bad in Delta State. No Speaker has survived 3 years in the State House of Assembly but I was able to manage it for 5 years and half plus, peacefully. Your pain is my pain because I have lived with you here. I live in Osubi, look at Ethiope East; are we not one? We can’t develop Okpe without developing here, is it possible? I beg you to vote PDP 5 over 5. I am here to visit the ward to inform the people to vote PDP because it is the only party that can reset Nigeria from poverty, and insecurity. The only party that will continue to do MORE in Delta State is PDP. I am a unifier, a pan-Deltan. You don’t need to fill form to reach me in my house, they know me very well”.

He retorted, “When I said I am a man with excessive local content, they don’t understand the meaning. I am streetwise, I am connected to the rich and the poor. I will continue from where the Governor will stop by the special Grace of God. I will build on all the infrastructure he has been doing. In wealth creation he has done very well, security wise he has done very well.

Somebody is ascribing capacity to himself and wants to come and become Governor of Delta State. Which capacity? Capacity of having something and putting it in your community? You are representing eight Local Governments and putting everything in your village, that means if the State is given to him, every benefits will be in his village. Is it done like that? Please, vote for me come 2023 for I will do well and listen MORE, do MORE and achieve MORE come 2023. I am visiting the 270 wards, and I am in Ethiope East today for a needs assessment. God gives power”

On his part, the PDP Delta Central Senatorial Candidate, Chief Ighoyota Amori, commended the Ethiope East people for the massive turnout as it showed their readiness to vote for PDP candidates all-the-way in 2023.

He noted that the former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori is very much in support of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori as candidate of the party, and had handed over his daughter, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu to him as his political daughter.

He noted that Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie and Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituencies have both represented Urhobo at different times in the Senate and said; “So I urge all of you to vote for me for the Senate come 2023”.

Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, PDP House of Representatives Candidate, Ethiope East/Ethiope West Federal Constituency, and the PDP House of Assembly Candidate, Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, also urged the people to vote for all PDP candidates.

They lamented the hardship the APC has thrown Nigerians into over the years, saying that fuel price is now =N=500 per litre, a bag of rice is =N=50,000 and other commodities in the market are no longer affordable by the common man.

On their part, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta Central, Olorogun Patrick Fovie, and the Chairman of the Campaign Council in Delta Central, Hon., Chief John Nani, expressed joy over the outstanding mobilisation, saying that no sane person in Nigeria would want to vote APC again as Nigerians are suffering under the APC-led administration.

According to them, all hands must be on deck to rescue the country from the APC and get Nigeria working again for the benefit of all and sundry.

Earlier, Chairmen of Wards 10, 6, 11, 7, and 4, Hon. Alex Omoraka, Mr. Felix Oniayekukor, Mr. Okpima Emoefe, Mr. Anthony Edojariogba, and Mr. Precious Ikpesu respectively, expressed their readiness to deliver all PDP candidates in their various Wards.

They lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Gubernatorial candidate for the developmental strides across the nooks and crannies of the Local Government Area, and reiterated their position to reciprocate the Governor’s good gesture and promised to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for President and Vice-President respectively; Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori and Monday Onyeme for Governor and Deputy Governor respectively; Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu for House of Representatives Ethiope East/Ethiope West Federal Constituency and Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, for Delta State House of Assembly, Ethiope East Constituency.
