2023: Massive turnout as Akuyoma organizes campaign rally for Atiku/Okowa, Sheriff, Ejele, others in Delta

Massive turnout have greeted the political campaign rally organized by the ‘Team Focus’ group led by Hon. Justice Akuyoma, a political analyst and former House of Assembly Aspirant of Warri North LGA to educate and sensitize the electorates to come out en mass to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar/Sen Ifeanyi Okowa and Michael Diden alias Ejele come Saturday 25th February 2023.

The Focus group also canvassed massive support for the Delta State PDP governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and House of Representatives candidate of the Warri federal constituency and others come March 11, 2023 at the Sunday’s rally.

However, ‘Team Focus’ is a Pro-PDP pressure group in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta state.

The sensitization match which was organized by Akuyoma was attended by prominent leaders and stakeholders across all wards and units in Warri north LGA.

The rally took off from the Ajagbodudu community to Koko the headquarters of Warri north and ended at the Obitugbo community.
The group promised Warri north people robust development and youth empowerment after winning the general elections.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Hon. Justice Akuyoma, the coordinator of ‘Team Focus’ said there was a need to sensitize the electorates following the BVAS deployed by INEC for the forthcoming elections.

The statement reads partly, “this is an era of politics and for you to win the election, there is a new dynamics, in this very election which is the BVAS policy. We need to sensitize the people to the new model of voting, so how do you sensitize and educate the people, it is to bring them out and talk to them to know the new way the election will follow. You know our party has been in charge of Warri north for 24 years and will not afford to lose in this election.

“Our rally begins from Ajagbodudu to the headquarters of Warri north Koko. It is not ending here we are moving to the communities that are not motorable in the river very soon to campaign and sensitize the people why they must come out en mass to vote for PDP because they have never failed the party and the party has never failed them. With what you are seeing here, you saw the massive turnout of the people to the sensitization exercise.

“It’s a clear picture that their attentions are in PDP. You can see the caliber of leaders that are present here, and we believed that our people are well educated to come out to vote for PDP because Warri north is hundred percent for PDP.

“My advice to the people in the local government is to be very careful with their votes so that they will not void their votes, be careful to vote for the umbrella. We are advising the people of Delta state to keep faith with PDP and we believe they are going to do more if voted into power in this election.”

Speaking in the same vein, Chief Otimaye Adams expressed gratitude for the convener of the rally, adding that Warri North would give massive votes to all PDP candidates.

He stated: “I am happy to be here, as ‘e dey sweet me, e dey pain some people’. I want to thank everyone here present, I want to thank ‘Team Focus’ for this brilliant performance. On the 25th of February 2023, we are out to vote for the umbrella. For the president Sir Alhaji Atiku Aburbaka and Sen Ifeanyi Okowa, for Senate, Hon. Diden Michael alias Ejele, and for Reps Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi”.

Also commenting, Chief Solomon Oranka said the rally was timely and a major boost for the victory of the PDP in the state.

He emphasized: “The greatest joy in me today is that I can see my brothers gathering for unity and to canvas vote for the right candidates.

“I commend Team Focus for bringing our people again, with the population we have seen here it is clear that we are winning big from the presidency to the house of assembly 5 over 5.

Reaffirming the stands of the convener of the Team Focus, Elder Charles Okorotie posited that he was glad over the massive turnouts at the rally, adding that Warri North would vote massively for all PDP candidates.

Okorotie noted: “Today is a special day, when I see the turnouts, I know victory is sure, in politics as far as election is concerned all is about winning. With the crowd I am seeing here today we are all thumb-printing for the umbrella because that is where the victory lies. We are going to win, I assured you that after winning nobody will forget you, Focus Team is competent, you will get your favour and you will get your blessing, and you will never be deceived, I thank every one of you.”

Throwing more weight on the campaign rally, Hon. Tonton Isaac thanked the leadership of Warri North for supporting PDP for the time being.

His words, “Firstly, I want to recognize the leaders of Warri north, especially the PDP leaders, Chief Otimaye Adams, and chief Solomon Oranka are proud to have you in this gathering. I want to appreciate especially the organizers of the Focus group (Team Focus) they are part of the family of PDP and that makes it very nice. I want to thank Hon. Justice Akuoma for this sensitization today.

“I’m sure it will go a long way to educating our people on how the voting should go, PDP is a very big party, I am sure you all know that and we are very confident that we have no rival in Warri north local government. This means that all hands must be on deck, and that is one reason Team Focus has come today to organize this gathering. I thank Team Focus, and I can see the level of mobilization. On the 25th of February, I want you to come out and vote for PDP, and come the 11th of March we are voting for our governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori,” he added.
