Governor Bala Replies Wike: Nobody can put fire in Bauch

The Bauchi State governor, Mr Bala Mohammed has replied to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike that nobody can put fire to the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in his state.
Congress news learnt that, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Mr Mohammed was responding to the outrageous statements made by Wike, who threatened to truncate the existing peace in the state.
However, Wike in his statement severely warned the PDP governors during the party’s state congress in Port Harcourt not to meddle in the affairs of Rivers state party’s matters, while threatening to “put fire in their states.”
Meanwhile, the National Working Committee of the PDP visited the governor in his, he however assured them his belief that Bauchi is resilient and peaceful, while dismissing Wike’s unguarded outburst as mere frustration.
Corroborating the fact that there had been misunderstandings in the party, adding that there were no personal misunderstandings between him and Wike.
The governor also emphasised that “Nobody can put fire in Bauchi. Even my friend said that he’s only saying it because he’s annoyed. We may have said something that irked him, but it’s not personal. My friend is my friend, and leadership is leadership.”
The governor was thrilled over the committee visit, which he described as unsolicited and a demonstration of unity and leadership traits in the PDP.
The governor commended the NWC for their commitment in ensuring stability in the party despite the crisis party as faced, and upholding the values set by the party’s founding fathers, saying that the need for dialogue, rule of law, and mutual respect within the party
He expressed his belief that the PDP was going to come out from these internal crises through effective leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the NWC, the National Legal Adviser of the party, Kamaludeen Adeyemi, extended the party’s regards and congratulated Governor Bala on his achievements in Bauchi, and also highlighted the newly constructed state secretariat, developmental projects that are been carried out.
