3 crushed to death in Bayelsa

Pandemonium as three persons were crushed to death on Friday at the Okordia/Zarama section of the East-West road.
Congress gathered a green-coloured Mercedes Benz with registration number SAG420JP crushed a commercial tricyclist popularly known as Keke Napep with registration KMT346VP and killed three persons on board.
It was learned that the driver of the Mercedes Benz zoomed off from the scene to avoid mob action.
A source said the incident happened at about 12:30 pm, a few kilometres from the crowded market area.
An eyewitness who briefed newsmen said a male and two females were crushed to death in the accident while one person was rescued and reported to be in critical condition.
Some policemen and officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, who were at the scene attributed the cause of the accident to excess speed and loss of control.
