3 killed in cult clash in Delta

About three persons have died in separate cult clashes in Orhuwhorun community in Udu local government area of Delta state.

The incident occurred on Sunday and Monday nights when the two cult groups clashed, leaving three dead.

A source said the groups clashed on Sunday night and one was killed. The source added that the clash continued on Monday night where two were also killed.

The incident is reportely causing palpable apprehension in the community for fear of reprisal attacks by rival groups.

There has not been any report of arrest of the culprits who are terrorising the community by the police in the area.

A community source, who pleaded annomity confirmed the incident to Congress newspaper.

However, attempt to reach the Delta state police command, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe for comment was abortive.
