Chief Ari’s demise: Personalities converge as 3 days open-condolence visit end Friday

Personalities from all walks of life have graced the ceremony marking the end of the three days open-condolence visit at the residence of late Chief Jonathan Ari on Friday.
Some personalities who converged were Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, Reps member representing Burutu federal constituency, Hon. George Ekpemupolo, former two time chairman of Warri South West LG Council, Chief Kestin Pondi, the MD Tantita security company, Chief Wellington Okirika, former Desopadec Chairman, Frank mare,former commissioner of environment, Dr Paul Bebenimibo, former Desopadec commissioner, Ijaw nationality, Hon. Emmotimi Guwor, member representing Warri South West, Delta State House Assembly, Business mogul Victor Tonlagha, Comrade Ozobo Austin, Special Assistant to the governor of Delta state on political matters, Chief Michael Johnny, APC chieftain, traditional chiefs and many others.
It would be recalled that High Chief Jonathan Ari died at 11:50pm Tuesday April 4, 2023, at the age of 84 years after a protracted illness and prompt medical interventions both home and abroad.
The ceremony witnessed live music band display by Ijaw music icon, Chief Kingsley Takemebo on Friday night.
Ijaw women threw traditional dance steps in the arena as Chief Kingsley thrilled guests.
Some sympathizers who spoke to our correspondent said Ari’s death is a big blow to Ijaw nation, adding that he would be forever remembered.
However, the burial arrangement would be announced at due course by the family.
