Jubilation As Oborevwori Sworn-in As New Delta Governor

Delta State agog as Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP was sworn- in as the brand new executive governor of the state.

Oborevwori took his oath of office on Monday 29th May, 2023 during the inaugural ceremony held at the Stephen Kechi Asaba Township Stadium.

He was sworn in, together with his deputy Monday Onyeme by the Chief Judge of Delta State Hon.Justice Tessy Diai at about 12 noon.

The immediate past governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, his deputy Barr Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Senate James Manager, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru and others were present.

Speaking shortly, Oborevwori assured Deltans to consolidate on the developmental strides of his principal, Senate Ifeanyi Okowa, adding that he would not take the mandate reposed on him by Deltans for granted.

He reimphasised commitments in advancing Delta to an amiable heights, adding that every live would be affected positively.

Oborevwori thanked previous governors of the state, political leaders, women and youths for their massive supports.
