INEC Chairman Meets With Senior Electoral Officers To Review 2023 Elections

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, met with senior electoral officers on Friday to review the 2023 general elections.

The meeting was held at the Abuja Continental Hotel and was attended by collation and returning officers across the country.

The collation and returning officers are mainly university professors, many of whom are vice-chancellors of universities.

The meeting is the third in a series of post-elections review meetings that INEC scheduled with those who played key roles in the elections.

The main objective of the meeting is to review the conduct of the elections and to identify areas where improvements can be made.

The meeting also took stock of how the electoral officers, who served as field supervisors, carried out their assignments.

The meeting is also attended by INEC’s National Commissioners and other senior staff.
