In a significant achievement, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd. (TSSNL), owned by the High Chief Government Ekemukpolo (Tompolo), has successfully curbed illegal oil bunkering, theft, and sea piracy in the Niger Delta region. This milestone has not only protected the environment but also saved countless lives.
Before Tantita’s intervention, the Federal Government lost over $1 billion monthly to oil thieves, and the environmental impacts of illegal oil bunkering reached alarming levels. However, Tantita’s objective of safeguarding oil facilities has been successful, providing alternative employment for thousands of young people who previously engaged in illegal activities due to poverty and joblessness.
The company’s efforts have also significantly reduced environmental degradation, which has caused various health problems, including cancer, lung infections, and congenital abnormalities. By rendering illegal oil bunkering comatose, Tantita has enabled the remediation of the environment, providing a new lease on life for the region.
Tantita Security Services has employed over 25,000 youths, men, and women, drastically reducing crime and unemployment in the Niger Delta region. The company’s achievements are a testament to the effectiveness of private sector intervention in environmental protection and security services.
Experts estimate that oil theft amounts to between 100,000 and 250,000 barrels per day, resulting in billions of dollars in lost revenue for the Nigerian treasury annually. Tantita’s efforts have significantly reduced this loss, ensuring that the region’s natural resources benefit the nation and its people.
The success of Tantita Security Services is a call to action for all to support their patriotic mission in revamping the Niger Delta environment. By doing so, we can ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
