LG Polls: Fmr Warri South West LG Chairmanship Aspirant, Bebenimibo Endorses Sylvester Oromoni
By Stephen Asaba-ase
Prince Meshach Bebenimibo, a former aspirant for the Warri South West Local Government Council chairmanship, has thrown his weight behind Sylvester Oromoni, the PDP flagbearer for the upcoming election.
In a statement Bebenimibo urged his supporters across Warri South West and beyond to rally behind Oromoni, citing his exceptional leadership qualities and commitment to the people’s welfare.
Bebenimibo, a motivational author and leader, emphasized Oromoni’s unique strengths, including his ability to resuscitate dilapidated infrastructure, bring meaningful development to the catchment areas, and embody the ideals of the PDP’s “MORE” agenda, which aligns with Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s vision.
Despite initial reservations about Oromoni’s emergence as the PDP flagbearer, Bebenimibo has put aside differences to support the party’s candidate, urging all aggrieved members and chairmanship aspirants to follow suit. He warned against supporting the opposition APC, citing its perceived failures and negative impact on the nation.
Bebenimibo’s endorsement is seen as a significant boost to Oromoni’s campaign, and his call for unity among PDP members is expected to strengthen the party’s chances in the forthcoming election.
However, the official kick-off campaign for Oromoni is scheduled for June 19, 2024, at the Warri South West Local Government headquarters in Ogbe-Ijoh.
“I also appreciate the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, PDP Chairman, Warri South West Local Government Council, Chief Favour Izoukumor and all PDP Excos in the Warri South West Local Government for trusting in the sterling leadership qualities of Sylvester Oromoni to represent us in Warri South West Local Government Council”, he added.
