President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration is committed to building a future anchored on technology-driven development and sustainable food security.

The President gave the assurance during a meeting with members of the Nigerian community in Brazil, where he is attending a high-level bilateral engagement with Brazilian authorities. He noted that Nigeria has a wealth of potential that must be unlocked through strategic investments in technology, innovation, and agriculture.

Tinubu pointed out that Nigeria’s development trajectory could learn from Brazil, a country that transformed its economy within a few decades by prioritizing agriculture, technology, and inclusive growth. He said Nigeria’s youthful population provides a huge advantage, especially if the government creates the right environment for innovation and digital entrepreneurship to thrive.

“Our administration is determined to harness the power of technology to drive economic transformation and provide sustainable solutions to the challenges we face, particularly in agriculture and food production,” Tinubu stated. He stressed that food security will remain a top priority, noting that a hungry nation cannot experience peace, stability, or prosperity.

He further pledged to strengthen partnerships with international development agencies and foreign governments to attract investment into Nigeria’s agricultural sector while also empowering local farmers through modern techniques, mechanization, and access to finance.

The President reassured Nigerians at home and abroad that his government is aware of the current hardships but is working on comprehensive reforms to reduce inflation, stabilize the economy, and create jobs. He urged citizens to remain hopeful and patient as the government lays a foundation for long-term prosperity.

Tinubu’s remarks come at a time when Nigeria is battling high food prices, insecurity in farming communities, and economic challenges that have heightened public discontent. Analysts say his renewed promise could help rebuild public confidence, though they caution that results will depend on effective policy implementation and accountability.
